Ongoing - Projects

Abersoch Garden Centre were chosen to supply, design, deliver and maintain a diverse range of hanging baskets, filled pots, flower beds etc for various local businesses including The Warren, Tal-y-Fan, St. Tudwals Inn, Glyn y Weddw Arms and Abersoch village. This is due to our established reputation and ever increasing knowledge of supplying suitable, hardy, stunning plants and shrubs.

Hanging/wall baskets are one of the first things you see when approaching a property, remember to order your summer baskets and filled pots early to avoid disappointment, when they are gone they are gone!

Wakestock

Abersoch Garden Centre was delighted to supply a variety of tropical palms ranging from 4ft to 12ft which were used as a backdrop for the main arena for the Wakestock festival, set on the stunning Llyn Peninsula, North Wales, the festival is split into three sites; Penrhos, Pwllheli Marina and Abersoch. Penrhos is the main festival site renowned for its energetic line up. The main wakeboard competition was held over at Pwllheli Marina and Abersoch Bay also saw wakeboard action from the Big Air Classic competition. Abersoch and Pwllheli are both hugely popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors from all over the UK.

Wakestock 2005

Wakestock has beaten all expectations with over 25,000 people enjoying Europe's Largest Wakeboard Music Festival. The World's top wakeboarder’s battled it out in front of thousands of spectators.

It was the best one yet & Wakestock continues to grow as one of the freshest festivals in the UK. Around 25,000 people enjoyed Wakestock with 2 evenings of cutting edge music in 4 arenas.

Here are just some of the bands and djs who have appeared at the event over the years:

Feeder, The Zutons, The Automatic, Carl Cox & Friends, Athlete, Kosheen, Soul II Soul, The Ordinary Boys, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Hundred Reasons, Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Jon Carter, Adam Freeland, High Contrast, DJ Yoda, The Undertones, Reef, The Cuban Brothers, Roni Size, Norman Jay, The Bodyrockers, Layo and Bushwacka, Wheatus, Fergie, Tall Paul, DJ Format, 13 Senses, Kano, Scratch Perverts, The Upper Room, Stanton Warriers and The Crimea.

The two stunning wakeboarding locations saw thousands of spectator’s watch the world's best wakeboarder's compete for the biggest wakeboarding title in Europe.

 

British Strongest Man

 

Abersoch Garden Centre was happy to supply tubs of flowers/shrubs/bushes for the British Strongest Man Competition, held at Haven Holiday Park and Cricceith Castle. Which was filmed by Trans World International Television

The winner and new Britain's Strongest Man is Mark Iliffe who put up a superb performance throughout (squat aside). Second was newcomer Gregor Edmunds. Third was David Warner, also a newcomer to the BSM (British Strongest Man) final. Steve Brooks damaged his back on the first event and Glenn Ross injured his calf on the truck pull - but was just unable to recover after overdoing it with 18 squats.
